Persona Builder is a single-page tool for building UX research and marketing personas. Fill in a form at one of three detail levels and watch a formatted persona card update as you type, then export it as a PNG or a PDF.
Why It Exists
Persona work tends to sit between two extremes. A blank slide gives a team no structure and an inconsistent result each time someone writes one. A heavyweight product forces a sign-up or a subscription before a single field is entered. Persona Builder sits between those two, a plain form on one side of the screen and a live preview of the finished card on the other, with no account required.
What It Helps You Produce
- A one-line basic card for a quick workshop exercise or an early sketch.
- A standard card with age, location, occupation, goals, pain points, typical behaviour, and preferred channels.
- A full research profile that adds a representative quote, motivations, personality traits, technology comfort, key metrics tracked, and a notes field for sources and caveats.
- A finished card exported as a PNG or a PDF, sized for a slide deck or a research report.
Access And Limitations
Persona Builder is free to use in the browser and does not require an account. Saved personas are written to the browser’s local storage on the device in use, so they do not sync between devices and are not backed up anywhere outside that browser.
