Build a UX or marketing persona card directly in your browser. Fill in a form at one of four detail levels and watch a formatted card update as you type, then export it as a PNG or a PDF.
A marketing persona is a profile of one type of customer, built from research, that a team refers to when making decisions. It records goals, pain points, behaviours, and preferred channels, so choices are made for a specific person.
Start from research such as interviews, surveys, and sales data. Group customers with similar goals and behaviours, then describe one representative member of each group with a name, role, goals, and pain points.
A journey persona records one customer stage by stage: a goal, a feeling, and a deciding factor at each stage of the customer journey, each marked as from data or an assumption. It answers the criticism that fixed personas hide how customers change.
Basic captures identity: a name, role, and one-line summary. Standard adds age, location, goals, pain points, and channels. Full adds a quote, motivations, traits, and technology comfort. Journey adds the persona stage by stage. Each level keeps every field from the level before it.
Build a persona at the Journey level, then choose Send to Journey Mapper. The Journey Mapper opens with the persona added, matched stage by stage. Export JSON gives a file either tool can open.
Yes. The Persona Builder is free and opens straight away in any modern browser, including on a phone. Personas are saved in your browser's local storage and stay on your device.
